I fell in love with Voyager in 1979, had Halfway Hotel and Act of Love on album, wore them down playing them so much. I've just found them both on Amazon as downloads - I'm fairly certain that's a new thing because I know I've looked before, but perhaps I just didn't check properly.
Anyway, I'm enjoying listening to them once again and annoying my neighbours with the volume now at 56 as I did at 17.
The Grass will always be my favourite - listening with headphones on and that rousing piano going through my head from left to right and back again, the fantastic drums and ... well the whole thing, love it.
I joined the site just to say how much I appreciated Voyager's albums and how much I still do. Thank you.

Hi Bruce. You might like to know that we three remaining members of Tonton got together recently to record a new CD of very different versions of the LP and single. It is available on the Wasabi label from Japan and comes as a double CD along with a CD copy of the original album. Entitled "Tonton Macoute Revisited" it is available from online stores. Thanks for your post and best wishes. Paul

Hi, owned a tonton macute album since 1972, love it then, and now, are you still gigging? That said we all get older, and the LP is warn, so imported a CD from japan, listening now.....
Paul, In 1979 my wife and I were listening to a late night Radio 2 show. On came this beautiful song 'Cling to me'. We both fell in love with it and the next day I bought 'Act of Love'. I still have the original album and have even bought another in case something happened to the first. As the album is not available on CD I had the vinyl version transferred onto CD. My two kids, both in their 40's now, grew up with all the songs from this album and even now my 12 year old grandson loves 'The grass', track 1 side 1. I have almost 2000 cd's and albums, Act of Love is still the best album I've heard. And how 'Cling to me' never became a hit is incredible. The best ballad and romantic piece of music I've ever heard. Thanks ever so for your fantastic input.

Hi Paul,
I remember sitting on your knee while you played piano in the old cottage in Burghclere when I was around 6 years old. Not sure you remember Ron and Wendy Coles from Newbury? We still listen to Halfway Hotel on dads original albums and tapes. Hope you are doing well and if you are ever heading to Newbury give us a shout as I'm sure dad would love to meet up with you again. Catch up soon! Dean

Hi Paul.
I came across your K52 song a short while ago, and was surprised to find someone had written a song about that club. I was a guitarist in a soul band called "Fine China" who like you played a residency at the club in February1970. My pattern of events run parallel to your lyrics in the song ie took up with a lady of the night called Lilo and met other bands down at the station. Our digs were in a 6 berth bedsit in Penny Lane Strasse. Was that for you the same?
Perhaps one day I'll pop along to one of your piano places and say hello and swap a story or two. Meanwhile keep up the good work, and I'm just about to purchase the Pieces of Fate cd from you.
Kind regards.

Hi Paul. Discovered Voyager back in 79 when my big sister worked for Mountain Records and brought Halfway Hotel LP home to Yorkshire. Was just learning guitar so grew to know and love all the tracks. Same with Act Of Love. But as CD took over, my LPs just gathered dust. Anyway, woke up with Judas as an 'earworm' just before Christmas and decided to buy a USB turntable. You'll be pleased to know that 35 years on, your vinyl still sounds just as good. And after just one listen, my 7 year old son started singing chorus of ESP! So your music is still being enjoyed by the another generation of musos! Thanks again. Andy
